Ometepe Spanish School

General Info On November 9th, 2009, SSS is opening a new school location on the beautiful island of Ometepe! Reservations must be made at least 15 days before the start of classes. To register please visit the SSS school, use our regular registration form (and specify Omepete on line #14. Ometepe Spanish School Activities Punta de Jesus Maria (best place to photograph the two amazing volcanoes on the island) Local Museums: a museum of local history and an archeological museum Beach trips Canopy tour Easy hike to Cascada del San Ramon, a beautiful waterfall. Climb to the top of a volcano (extra fee applies to pay for a guide) as part of the Cascada del San Ramon activity. Note: this is a very strenuous hike so students should be in good physical condition to participate. Visit local farms Horseback riding Natural springs and other beautiful outdoor points of interest Visit to local orphanage Visits to el Charco Verde nature reserve It is possible to do all this and more in your week at OSS as we can fit several activities in a day.

Prices

One all inclusive week: $300/person
Includes the following:
- 20 hours of classes
- homestay from Sunday to Saturday (6 nights) with a local family. Homes with private bathrooms or shared bathrooms available.
- 4 afternoon activities with the school
-Transportation from San Juan del Sur to Ometepe ferry (students have the option of paying extra for transportation back to San Juan del Sur)
- Group discounts available! (Groups of 3 or more travel for $285/person)

Other Options
- 20 hours of classes, 4 activities, and transportation to the ferry (no homestay): $240/person
- 20 hours of classes and homestay (no transportation or activities): $200/person
- For additional options, please email us or stop by our San Juan del Sur location across from the BDF Bank in the Restaurante Lago Azul

Other costs:
- Travel from San Juan del Sur to Ometepe ferry $20 for 1 person or $30 for 2 people (one way)
- Ferry to Ometepe: 60 Cordobas (approx. $3.00 USD)
- Open air boat to Ometepe: 30 Cordobas
Note: The school is very close to the island's dock and we will make arrangements to meet you at the dock when your ferry or boat arrives.

Program Info

• Week begins on Monday morning and ends on Saturday
• Classes begin Monday afternoon from 1pm - 5pm
• Tuesday -Thursday classes in the morning with an afternoon activity
• Friday "clase práctica"
• Saturday return to San Juan del Sur or visit other cities like Granada
